Excellent séjour en face de la gare de train

Excellent séjour d’une nuit à l’hôtel Central à Zagreb ! Le personnel à l’accueil est vraiment gentil, nous avons (gracieusement) reçu la chambre quelques heures avant ce qui était un grand plus. La chambre était très confortable et la salle de bain propre et bien équipée. La chambre était face à la rue ce qui faisait en sorte que nous entendions les tramways passer même avec les fenêtres fermées, cependant, cela ne nous a pas dérangé. L’hôtel est grand sur plusieurs étages. Le petit-déjeuner est excellent avec un choix varié offert, une grande salle ainsi que beaucoup de places assises. C’est vraiment super que l’hôtel soit situé directement en face de la gare de train et devant la station de tramway où la majorité des lignes passent par là-bas. L’hôtel est donc vraiment dans une position centrale.

Hotel is dated but the location makes up for this. It is directly across from the train station so if you have an early train departure, it works perfectly - especially with breakfast included. There is some noise from the trains in the evening but it didnt impact sleeping. Updating things like blow dryers would go a long way.

My husband and I stayed 19 nights at this hotel. I have to say, it’s clean and comfortable and centrally located to the sites, stores, restaurants and such. It’s directly across the street from the train station where we are catching a train to Germany tonight. The housekeeping staff is wonderful. We felt very taken care of. The blonde housekeeper working the 2nd floor deserves a raise! She’s wonderful! The breakfast buffet is really good. Such a large assortment of foods. Overall, we had a great stay! They are pet friendly and we stayed with our dog. The negatives are the two EXTREMELY grouchy old men who work the front desk. They are unhelpful, rude and condescending. One threw a tv remote at my husband and said it wasn’t his problem that it didn’t work. I personally heard him talking on the phone to future guests and was condescending and rude and hung up the phone on them. The other front desk staff were fine. These two old men are AWFUL! Something should be done about them as they are the face of the hotel. I can’t understand being so nasty to guests. I asked to have a 1 hour late check out. After staying 19 nights, it would have been a nice gesture. Nope, the grumpy old man said NO!

We would have given a higher rating if not for the noise. It is close to a train track. If you are not sensitive to noise then this hotel will work for you. It has its advantages like the buffet breakfast which is really great with a lot of selections. This hotel is also centrally located so transportation will not be a problem.

Wonderful Stay

Very clean and comfortable. Easy walk to the main square and Zagrebs sites. Parking is literally across the street in front of the hotel if you need it. The breakfast buffet is amazing! Only drawback is the wifi isn’t good. Other than that, excellent hotel!

A good basic hotel. Room is clean with A/C. Good breakfast and It started earlier than 7:00am. The hotel is across from the train station and in a safe neighborhood. The local tram is right in front of the hotel. We could hear the tram track but wasn’t bothered by it. We walked to see around the city, about 20 minutes from the hotel. We booked it again after returning from Slovenia for a night before leaving Croatia.
This is a basic hotel but the breakfast is more than basic.

Very helpful check-in clerk. I arrived super early and he kindly let me check in. The room was clean, modern and very quiet. The breakfast buffet has excellent choices. There was a variety of cooked options, continental breakfast, cereals, cakes, fruits and breads. The staff in the breakfast area work hard to keep the food replenished. This hotel is opposite the train station, 15 minutes walk to the bus station and all the main attractions are within walking distance. I would stay here again.

Great Stay litterally at Centre of Zagreb

Hotel Central Zagreb Great location, about 5-15 mins from main sights and bus stand, (Train station is right opposite), and all the action. Very clean, cosy room. WiFi bit patchy at times, cool AC, hot water for shower. Easy to contact the team for any issues, advice etc. Good buffet breakfast including variety of breads, cheeses, meats, hot drinks, juices, croissants, fruits, mushrooms, hash browns etc. Oerall, a very happy stay and will recommend to anyone looking. good work team. This is the perfect place to stay for easy access to the train station. It’s about a 20 minute walk though to the old town. The staff were helpful when needed and the room was clean and inviting.
