Breakfast and breakfast staff was wonderful!

Excellent staff and right by the center of the city. We were able to see all the activities and had access to restaurants and coffee shops.

The room was stunning, beds were luxurious, breakfast was SO delicious. Hotel door entrance is locked at all times, making it super secure. Staff was kind and immediately felt like family.

Very pretty hotel, the staff was accommodating and helpful. The rooftop restaurant came in handy when the weather didn’t permit leaving the hotel.

The vase by the door which holds the room key was not securely glued to the base and it broke off when my daughter pushed it by an accident. The hotel charged us 1,798 Quetzal ($235 US)!! What a highway robbery. You can easily buy one for less than $50 at the market. I protested at the checkout that the vase was not securely placed like my other 3 rooms we occupied. It left a bitter taste in my mouth. My four rooms for 3 nights costed over $3,300. That’s not enough to make money off of the tourist? That’s the Guatemalan five star hotel management philosophy? Try to scam at every opportunity!!

The hotel grounds are beautiful and the view of the lake here is amazing! I'd say the highlight of our stay was exploring the gardens and enjoying the pool. I did feel like the hotel's restaurant was overpriced and we didn't always enjoy the meals there. While the hotel surroundings are stunning, the hotel could use better lounging areas outside (like hammocks) and update the rooms (they were somewhat dated, poorly lit, and like previous reviews stated, wifi wasn't accessible from the room). The lack of AC was never an issue for us since the temperature during our stay was cool.
