While the hotel room was clean, there were major renovations taking place in the hotel that I was not made aware of until I checked in. I purposely booked that hotel because it had a bar/lounge, which I was looking forward to enjoying that evening. Without knowing this ahead of time, I arrived at the hotel to find it closed for reconstruction.

There is plenty of parking right in front of the building. Checking in was easy—you get the physical key from a lockbox using a 4-digit code. The place was pristinely clean. The lake view was beautiful, and you can enjoy it from the chairs right by the door, or from inside. My wife and I used the kayaks to explore Fox Lake, and it was a lot of fun. Even though it was my first time, it was easy to maneuver through the still water. Life jackets are conveniently kept in the brown box. There are big-screen smart TVs in the living room and in each of the two bedrooms. You can bring an HDMI device (like a laptop) to use them as monitors, or log into your own Netflix account (just don't forget to log out). High-speed Wi-Fi is also available. Although we didn't cook, the kitchen was well-stocked with cups, plates, pots, a cutting board, disposable silverware, and dish soap with sponges. We did use the provided K-cup coffee pods and the creamer in the fridge. There are many restaurants just a few minutes away. We really enjoyed our stay. I might be back with my kids in the future. clean and comfy

There were a couple of issues with the bathroom. The bathroom fan did not work and the bathtub could definitely been cleaner. The breakfast was very good and the staff was fastidious about keeping the area clean.

A nice little and quiet hotel that is perfect for relaxing. I’d happily come back!
