Very nice hotel with friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was quite good! Rooms were comfortable but found trash between the night stand and the bed and also pretzel bits in front of the chair in the living room. Cleaning staff not as thorough as I would like. Also, there is no installed Air Conditioner so they have a portable unit which sits on a nightstand between the bed and the wall. It was so loud, it was hard to sleep, even with ear plugs in. Room temp was an issue throughout my stay.

Nice stay overall

Rooms were great, staff were friendly. Restaurant was good (other than not being open all the time). Close by a paved walking trail around the lake which was very nice. The only thing I didn’t like was that I asked for a late checkout due to a late flight and was told it would cost $100, which seemed very overpriced. But I would definitely stay here again as I think it’s probably the best option in Yellowknife.

Arrived in the middle of the night and checked in. Sleep was interrupted by street people making loud noises outside the hotel. Saw a lot of garbage scattered around the hotel. Went to the gym and there was no water in the water fountain. Asked cleaner for more water and he provided another water bottle for the fountain. He then proceeded with cleaning the gym but stopped after having cleaned maybe 20% of the floor. The room service did not lock our room door TWICE during our stay. The deadbolt was engaged and EVERYONE could enter our suite. We informed management after the first occurrence but it still happened again. The second visit to the gym a different staff member was cleaning. The water cooler was empty again but he ignored me mentioning that more water was needed. While talking on his phone he continued continued cleaning the gym facility by grabbing a toilet bowl brush and sprinkled water drops on the rubber floor after he came from the bathroom. Absolutely disgusting. Prior to this incident we had dinner the night before in the lounge advertising specials that we ordered but we were invoiced the regular price. Having mentioned this to our waiter he mentioned that his supervisor would have to change that but he wasn’t in. To top this off the entire parking lot was a construction site during our stay. The entire lot was getting paved during our stay
