Our stay here was ok. Everything was clean but it was a stay without character or friendliness. The staff were extremely formal and the whole experience (stay and food) was very expensive compared to the other places we stayed during our trip, despite being in a smaller town. We prefer a more authentic experience. It is close to the centre, however, so all the interesting temples and shops were within walking distance

The hotel is quite dated and could benefit from renovations. After checking in, I discovered that the air conditioning in my room was not working. The front desk promptly moved me to another room, but it appeared to have similar issues. There were also noticeable stains in the bathroom. More,the wifi is not working well. Despite these drawbacks, the staff was exceptionally friendly, courteous, and helpful throughout my stay.

Located just inside the old city so close to the sights, restaurants etc. Boutique style. Staff were friendly and welcoming but don’t expect much English spoken. There’s just enough for basic checking in etc although written messages pre check in were very useful. A driver was arranged for me to pick up and drop off at station at a cost of CNY30 each way.
