"Wonderful hotel!"
I had a mechanical issue and ended up having to stay in Winnie, TX on the way to New Orleans. The hotel was very nice, clean, great staff, good continental free breakfast. Overall if I ever needed to go through Winnie again I would totally stay here. They also take pets. There wasn't really anything around that I noticed, I know Houston is a little ways away, as is Beaumont. However, hotel was immaculate.

The room was pretty outdated and not the cleanest. It's much better than a budget hotel but not what I expect from a holiday inn express.

"My regular stop in Winnie."
I have stayed here on 4 occasions. Three one-night stays and one three-nighter. Clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel has become a regular stop for me on trips west along I-10. It's also conveniently close to the fine birding sites in Chambers and Galveston Counties.

"Was close to my son's and the beach."
The hotel itself was alright. The room we had need some serious work on the ceiling in the shower, looks like they just tried to paint over black mold. Did not work, you cannot just paint over it..Most of paint over was gone exposing the mold..The staff was nice, except for the manager who tried to charge me for 3 days even though I paid through Expedia for 2 days..The lady checking me out had to wait for the manger to call back before they hopefully negated the extra charge..The hot tub is not working and if you look at the slime mold in it, it has not ran in some time.. At night in your room you can feel and hear every big rig that passes the freeway close to the hotel..

"Econo Lodge Good - Expedia Not Good"
Everything to do with the Econo Lodge in Winnie, TX was great and as expected for a budget hotel. The beds and sheets were even better than I predicted. However, Expedia made a mistake when I booked my rooms. I booked 2 rooms with 2 queen beds in each room as we had 2 adult guys in each room. Expedia paid Econo Lodge the rate for 2 rooms with one bed in each room. The customer service was unwilling to admit or fix the problem and made me negotiate further with the hotel itself instead of fixing the problem they created. In all, I paid the upcharge to the hotel on top of my full payment to Expedia. Not at all satisfied with Expedia or the customer service after the situation happened! Please check and double check your reservation to make sure you are booking exactly the details you want. Make sure those details are in the confirmation email as well. It will help if you have a problem at the front desk of your hotel.

Winnie is calling — find the perfect hotel

Everyone wants to score a deal on travel, but price is just one factor to consider when booking an unforgettable hotel. Whether you’re visiting family, attending a conference or taking a well-earned vacation in Winnie, having an awesome experience should be a no-brainer.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Winnie hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
