Overall great vacation place but to far from the town.

I like the Property, the staff, food, They can improve on some of the amenities in the room

The staff members were very polite and respectful. But my experience during 7/31/26 to 8/4/26 was a terrible birthday experience. The rooms were subpar. It paints a great picture online but in person very basic. My room was, humid and smelled moldy. I requested my room to be decorated three times and it never happened. The first night I slept in the room, my parentheses were bitten by some insect. At first I thought it was mosquitoes. But the way I was bitten and my skin was irritated, Google told me otherwise. I requested a room change. The situation progressed and I filed a complaint. I was at the front desk more times then actually enjoying my birthday and the island due to their inconvenience. They refused a partial refund to compensate my injuries I suffered on their resort. They advised me to seek medical attention on the resort but I had to pay out of pocket. I didn't cause the insects on the bed, nor caused myself to be bitten during the night. The next day they agreed to cover the medical visit. I recieved an injection and cream. The nurse appeared shocked but refused to tell me what bit me. But being bitten in a line and in clusters, can tell you enough. Please do your diligence and examine your bed thoroughly. Do not select this resort if you’re visiting the island. Not worth the risk of spending your entire day seeking medical attention and not following protocol in order to get rid of the problem besides changes of sheets. Update 8/5/26, my swelling went down.

Staff were amazing; however, it was not enough of them. Did not feel like the service was what I would expect from this hotel. Additionally, I’ve stayed at this hotel 2 other times and feel this last time the upkeep of the property has opportunities for improvement. This is especially around the pool and beach areas -
