Indoor pool is the best. We had a Streamside room and the view was beautiful. Our first night stay there was a child going door to door knocking near midnight. And our room key did not work on day two and we were booked for two nights. We came back from the pool and were locked out; the front desk was not close- so that was bothersome to go back to get our room key reactivated.

The Woodlands is definitely in a convenient area. About 20 minutes from Scranton, and with plenty of good food options and activities to do within a 5-10 minute radius. The Hotel, however, is very old and has issues. The entire weekend me and my partner stayed there (friday-monday) the wifi in the hotel was broken. Using data within the hotel was incredibly slow for some reason as well (it immediately became fine when we were outside, but inside the room sometimes it felt like we were in a dead zone), which made it hard when we wanted to relax in the room at night. The indoor pool looks and feels like a torture chamber, the water was ice cold and there are no windows, so with it being in the basement it was very unsettling and uncomfortable. We were forced to use the smaller outdoor pool, which had its own problems. The pool area was alright, but the biggest issue was that the small hotel restaurant/bar won't allow you to bring your own food or drinks to the pool area. Of course, this is because they want you to buy their overpriced food and drinks. My annoyance with the restaurant's policies extended to the breakfast as well, which is free, but they don't let you take food back to your room. The staff was good and friendly. Overall, I didn't hate my stay, but I could only recommend this place to people that are not looking to relax in the hotel and only want to go out and do stuff the whole time they are there. If that's not you, I would look elsewhere.

I saw a roach in the shower. every morning at breakfast food was terrible! And old, including the juice! None of the vending machines work. Pool was dirty! Every time we left the room and came back door was open. Nothing was missing but why was it open every time we left??! This was by far the worst experience ever!!

O stood at this place last year and was so happy I came back for a longer stay I stood from the 22-26 and I got there the indoor pool was closed and I went there for that reason lobe the indoor pool as the outside one was like an ice box to swim in. No gym no salon no other food offered but pizza . And at the bar only cash was acceptable cause there registers were down for a week you think you would fix that issue knowing most ppl have cards not cash!!! I sled for toilet paper and never got it had to go to front desk next day to get more. And the day before when I asked I called using there phone and they kept saying we can’t hear u bad reception. So I sent my niece to ask to get another garbage bag and toliet paper and the guy was like room 221 one keeps calling as if I was bothering him very rude to say for me asking for a simple thing. Was not happy overall.. they did not offer any compensation at all for what was going on I would love to call a manager to talk to them and let them know how poorly I was treated and for the price they are asking for to get nothing out of it at all but a bad taste in my mouth. Mind u I had to change rooms when my toilet overflowed all over the carpet and had to wait to get another room. I’m not sure I’d stay here again.

One only needs to go read the Google reviews that are rated as 1 or 2 stars to see a culmination of my experience there. The staff appears to be at least trying, but their management and leadership have failed them in spectacular fashion. The place is dirty, cavernous, dark in places, with a few strange characters hanging about. My fault for not reading previous reviews. Sorry to say that there are much better quality hotels nearby.

The rooms were very outdated and dirty. The mattress looked like they drug it in off the curb had stains and looked like mold on it. The AC unit was nonfunctional and the sink was leaking. We did not actually stay the night and left shortly after arriving.

I must say this resort was huge. I liked the restaurants connected to the establishment. The river back setting was gorgeous. What I didn't like so much was that the pictures online of the rooms was a bit deceiving. The King size rooms were smaller and the commodes were nearly down on the floor. You had to bend down so low, also the toliet had water pressure issues and did not flush. The indoor pool was closed the entire time,and they had no internet connection, so everything had to be paided by cash.

Once is enough !!!

Old hotel. Needs updating. Non handicap friendly. Had to bring breakfast back to room. Person at cresendos was very accommodating. Very difficult to get to pool therefore didn’t use it. Limited access to facilities. One gentleman screaming in the hall for his keys using foul language at 2am. No security or anyone to stop him. Note : approximately 50 feet from front desk.
