So if your looking for a cheapish cleanish room in Eagle Rock to stay this hotel is okay. The last time I was in Eagle Rock I stayed at the Hills Inn on Colorado Blvd and took a walk noticed this place and thought I'd try it this time. Compared to the Hills Inn, just a few blocks down the street this place is not as nice. It looks cute from the outside but the rooms are very worn and dated - the room furnishings are scratched up, dinged and the chairs looked like they got them off the curb from someone tossing them out or maybe a thrift store. The carpet is not something to walk on with bare feet (the day we checked in the carpet had someone's fake fingernails on the floor) I would say and the bathroom is functional but the same in terms of wear and general appeal. The DO NOT PROVIDE WASHCLOTHS OR HAND TOWELS! The 2 towels they do provide (only 2) and a bath mat for the floor are just as old as everything else but functional. While Eagle Rock is general a safe area - there are no interior locks on the hotel room doors. There was also no smoke or carbon monoxide detectors. We used the luggage rack with our suitcases on them as a temporary door barrier. NO FRONT OFFICE STAFF or AMENITIES! Be prepared to check in on a computer screen and show your ID, be issued your room keys all virtually. There is never anyone I saw on site as staff besides cleaning people. That being said - the bed was comfortable - there were no bugs and the pool was nice. Location Great!
