The staff Melanie at the front desk demeanor was if we were bothering her by asking questions. We stayed for four days and we had to ask the manager Andrew why our room had not had the basic house keeping service of trash changed and fresh towels. It was four adults in our room in which I paid for and the trash and dirty towels were overflowing yet he tells me that it states on the website that they do not do the basic clean until the third night stay and full service until the fourth night stay. Which is a lie because I read everything on the website backwards and forwards prior to booking with this hotel. I even went back and rechecked after he stated that and I saw no statement on the website stating such. Then, he tells me that they were short staffed and couldn’t attend to the basic cleaning on our second night. After I expressed how displeased I was with the service I asked if housekeeping could come the third day. He stated he would have them come and do a full service. Why after being gone all day on the third day we come back to a still dirty room with the sheets pulled off of the beds that’s it. It was 3:00pm and housekeeping hadn’t finished our room. I went back to the front desk to complain again and then another housekeeper Dee that wasn’t our housekeeper who had just started working 2 days ago offered to clean our room for us. At that point we then had to wait for our room to be cleaned. This was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel.

The greatest second option ever. My family had our 80th* Family Reunion and I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it due to job commitments. Fortunately I was able to make it; however, the hotel I was supposed to stay at was booked. Frustrated I began looking around the area and I came across the Cambria. I looked at Cambria based off the pictures from the website, only to look better in person. From the time we walked in the front staff was great. The young lady at the front named Kayla was wonderful. There was another young lady helping someone else and she was just as pleasant, based off what I could hear. I went to my room to put my things away and the room was just what I needed. Stocked coffee bar, oversized shower, a real couch, true blackout curtains, and I could set the temperature as cool as I wanted in that hot SC weather. I went back to the host hotel that the family was staying at bragging about all the amenities I had. They had a snack bar and pop machines, while I had a fully stocked bar and restaurant. Long story short, several of my family members ended up having drinks with me at the bar. I would chose the Cambria 10 times out 10. My only negative was the unexpected valet charge which really wasn’t that bad. I would chose the Cambria in any city, anytime. Everything was Alright, and by alright I mean ALL Right. I will be back.
