Disappointing we booked two rooms in advance and rang the day before to confirm they were located close by and all was good. When we checked in, they couldn't find a 2nd room booking and couldn't tell us when they could clean one for us. Had to chase it up a few times while having 4 adults crammed into one room and no real interest in trying to sort it or assist us.

Our room needed upgrading. Showing its age. Bathroom grubby with lifting skirting board. Vanity unit very basic and old. Drapes mismatched. Bar fridge in room very old. Price high for the age of the room. The hotel in general looks very tired. Food for dinner was good. Breakfast limited options. Hot food not hot. Coffee was an extra at breakfast which was surprising.

Not worth what we paid

We couldn't fault the friendly and welcoming staff but the room was in dire need of an upgrade. The shower was faulty, mismatched curtains on the window and extremely noisy. Not the same room that I viewed on the website.

The location of the hotel was great, very close to the harbor and lots of restaurants. The public areas of the hotel were fine. We were given a handicapped room though I don't believe we requested one. The sink wouldn't drain and wasn't fixed after reporting it to the front desk. The towels were thin and quickly damp after a shower. These was not what we expected after staying in other ibis hotels. Except for the location we were dissapointed.

The location was very convenient. Easy walk to the harbor and lots of restaurants and shopping area. The public areas were fine but our room felt a bit run down. We were given a handicapped room which we hadn't requested. The sink didn't drain, we notified the desk but it was not fixed. The towels though large enough were very thin and damp before you were completely dry. I was not impressed by the Ibis hotel. It felt like a 2 star based on our experience.
