Our family stay at DoubleTree Wellington on 5th July 2025 was one of our worst hotel experiences. At check-in, the Duty Manager insisted our booking didn’t include breakfast, despite it being clearly listed in the Expedia reservation. We had to return to the front desk multiple times before another staff member finally confirmed breakfast was included—no follow-up from the original staff. That night, we endured drunken disturbances on Level 6 until after 6am. Multiple calls to the front desk went unanswered, despite being 24hrs front desk; only the emergency line responded at 5am. Sleep was nearly impossible. The room also had minor maintenance issues. Very disappointing overall. Never again.

Great place to stay in central wellington, with a italian good restaurant onsite with yummy food. Breakfast was good also. Fabulous welcome on our arrival, easy check-in process, car parking is easy access through the adjacent building & the twin room we booked was super-comfortable, beautifully presented & quiet. Plenty of hot water in a gorgeous bathroom, nightlight available in bathroom, multiple power points for charging phones, laptop, using hair drier etc. East walking around a lovely part of the city. Absolutely recommend and will be booking again for sure.
