Some of this one my own fault for not checking thoroughly what I was booking. This is very much a hostel. Shared bathroom which I don't feel was clear, my room had no curtains, and there was no instruction as how to access the property. That said the shared bathroom was clean, but no hot water in the shower. Probably fine if you know what to expect.

Parking is onsight but shared with the leisure center, which is very busy. The room was on the other side of the property which was not convenient at all. I was asked about adding the breakfast to my room, which I did not; however, I was not informed about use of any amenities. Front desk not helpful or friendly upon arrival. The housekeeping staff were nice.

The service -- warmth, responsiveness, sense of humour -- of the staff were the best we have ever experienced. Ditto for the quality of the breakfast as well -- incredible variety of fresh, mostly locally sourced items so that even the continental option was an array of choices unlike any other of this type. Our room was luxurious: super comfy bed, gorgeous view, space, niceties in the room for making espresso, tea or regular coffee.

We had a great stay. We had two rooms and had no issues. We did not try the breakfast but the rooms were great.

If you ask for a quiet room check the room first as they put us near noisy extractor fans/ air con. Called reception and they moved us to a lovely quiet room. Breakfast excellent as were our dinners Not all water jets working in spa but it didn't deter from our experience. Train station 10min walk 1 stop to Cork highly recommend using train to visit the city.
