This was a very nice looking establishment from the outside and the lobby. Upon entering our room we were immediately hit with a questionable smell and room that looked like it had been picked up but not properly cleaned. Crumbs on the night stands, food left over in the cupboards from the previous guests, and a mysterious slick feeling to the floors. No fresh toilet paper on the roll also grossed me out. We were simply using it as a place to rest our heads for the night as we were out and about most days so for the price it wasn’t an awful stay. Beautiful beach access and helpful staff.

here were a few issues. There was no elevator, which is hard on an old person like me. The two USB plugs on the cube on the desk didn't work. It was impossible to plug anything in on the night tables because the desk was too close to the wall, and there were no free wall plugs. Finally, the shower floor was very slick and there was no grab bar. WE had to put a towel down. Now the good part. The bed and beddings were heavenly. They wrapped around you like a soft cloud. I fell asleep in a few minutes. The decor was beyond tasteful. Every aspect of it was harmonized. Almost every adornment mirrored the calming view of the walls. And there was the big blue heron right at the end of the bed. The snacks you left were delicious The bathroom was lovely, and the water pressure and flow was the best I've every had in a hotel. All told, it was a deeply comforting and satisfying stay. I will definitely stay there again.

The motel was good we had one problem before we arrived which they sent us a txt to let us know there was a problem with the refrig. It was resolved the next morning.

The views of the marina are beautiful and the staff was kind and helpful. There is plenty of parking that is easily accessible and it is conveniently located near downtown New Bern.

This was a very good place to stay...we had a 2BR/2BA on the third floor which was great to be high where the breeze was cooler than below! Nice to have table outside if you wanted to sit out. Three TVs so accommodated us all nicely. Nice towels, soaps & lotions. An easy walk to the beach with access to outdoor showers. Multiple pools. A few minor things I'd wish were different: the elevator access and elevators were stifling hot. Small wall Acs are ancient and while on 24/7 did nothing to cool the space. Master bath had the light and vent on one switch and this can be disturbing at night or other times. NO bar in the shower! Ice took a long time to make and I'd advise someone turn it on BEFORE a check-in. VERY challenging coffeemaker! You are expected to clean-up before leaving including taking the trash out. And finally, we left behind some books and while there was a great app ("I Left My Stuff") to manage the return, the staff communications were muddled and contradictory.
