At first glance, stepping into The Magnolia Hotel & Spa, we weren’t sure what to expect. It didn't have the sleek, modern style of some of the other hotels we’ve stayed at. However, this charming hotel quickly won us over, proving to be a real hidden gem. The staff are exceptionally friendly, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The location is perfect—right in the heart of Victoria, with fantastic shopping and dining options just steps away from the hotel. Our room offered a lovely surprise, with comfortable beds that made us feel like we were sleeping on clouds. We especially enjoyed the generous storage space, which added to the convenience of our stay. One of the highlights for us was the view from our room—overlooking the stunning Parliament Building, which was beautifully lit up at night. It was a sight to behold. Additionally, we were thrilled to discover that the hotel offered us the option to borrow a Roku streaming player. This transformed the TV in our room into a smart one, allowing us to catch up on our favorite shows—something we’ve never been able to do in more high-end hotels. This small touch truly enhanced our stay. Overall, our experience at The Magnolia was nothing short of fantastic. We’ll definitely be returning the next time we’re in Victoria!

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Although we appreciated our welcome gift and the hotel’s proximity to many restaurants and bars, the consistent cawing of birds at 4:00 am made it difficult to have a good night’s sleep.

We stayed at the hotel to celebrate my birthday and the staff went out of their way to make the day very special. They were so generous, kind and very professional. I love the Magnolia - over the years, it has consistently given us the best hotel service. It's not a surprise that this is a highly rated hotel in Victoria! The only feedback I have is to make the coffee machine in the lobby more user friendly:)

Fantastic hotel

The hotel is wonderful with every amenity anyone could want including a tea kettle which is rare to find. The location is perfect and Victoria is so walkable. The flower arrangements in the lobby are stunning!

I last stayed in the Magnolia about 15 years ago and have been staying in other on our frequent trips to Victoria. This time, the others weren’t available, but the Magnolia was. I was an excellent experience and we will definitely be staying there again on future trips. Great rooms, great service and staff and the location is perfect for trips that include the Royal Theatre.

Mini honeymoon

Wonderful hotel at the heart of beautiful downtown Victoria - harbour area. Conveniently located within walking distance from all major attractions and great restaurants. We were greeted with lovely bottle if bubbly and a thoughtful note on our mini honeymoon. Everyone was super friendly welcoming and helpful-would definitely be back and recommending to everyone looking for a top notch hotel to stay while visiting Victoria!

Charming downtown hotel

We enjoyed our stay at the Magnolia Hotel and Spa. It’s a charming hotel located conveniently downtown. It’s within walking distance of the Victoria Harbour, museums, and lots of restaurants. Staff is friendly and helpful, and the hotel is clean. We appreciated the nice little touches, like nightly turndown service, bedside chocolates, and the Nespresso machine. The only downsides to the downtown location are expensive parking ($40/night) and people partying loudly in the street during the night.

So close to the harbor and downtown. It was a lovely home base for a solo holiday. The room was comfortable and well stocked. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was so nice to have a soaking tub in the room after the long days of shopping, hiking and exploring. The only way to end my days better would have been if I had packed my epsom salts for the tub.
