Incredibly rude front staff. Never in my life have I been asked for a secondary ID, especially that has a physical address? And yet my parents were questioned incessantly when they checked in, under their own name no less. For what reason? The ID was valid, matched their name perfectly, and the contact information and address was provided in the online reservation. I wish I had been there to stand up for the utter embarrassment of what should have been an easy, smooth check in.
I am not sure if it is the fault of a rotten apple, or if the whole tree needs to be uprooted from the ground. I have been told that this is standard hotel policy, that all guests must sign and fill out a guest reservation form upon check-in. But again, I have never in my entire life been asked to fill out a guest reservation form in person after booking a hotel room online. Not a single hotel, not a single time. Gurinder, the staff who checked my parents in, tells me this is standard policy. And yet, why have I never been asked of this my entire life? Something to ponder before checking in this hotel.
