Cats live here

If you're not allergic to cats and don't mind the faint smell of cat urine, then this is a fine hotel for the price. I'm highly allergic so it made my stay very uncomfortable. The cleaning staff keeps the place clean and for the price it's a good deal. Location is near the ferry to the airport.

Nice staff with clean rooms. Also, the location is close to a vaporetti station so getting to and from the airport is easy!

Great value for money

Perfectly pleasant place. Welcoming reception( owner) and easy access to airport ( ferry terminal novo) and walkable distance to grand cannal . This is not a 5 star hotel but well maintained as a budget place.

Thank you and gratzi!

Beautiful hotel with a private courtyard right off the docks and very close walking distance from San Marco. This was a great place to stay, beautiful accommodations, staff was very friendly - the hotel manager is a true gentleman. We forgot a corkscrew (cardinal sin in Venice), he had one. Soda and mixers? Fresh on hand. Very easy to find, the hotel is two minutes or less walk from the docks and is clearly marked. The beautiful little courtyard is private but open-air. This is especially a great place to stay for a first-time visitor or someone not used to traveling overseas because of its easy accessible location and English-speaking staff. Absolutely great stay, will definitely be looking here first on our next trip to Italy.

Really good location

Great location and very easy to find. In a less tourist dominated area but quick to walk to all the museums etc. Room very comfortable, we had a private bathroom that was really nice. And air conditioning which really helped our comfort as we stayed mid August. Did not have the breakfast as we found we were still full from pizza/pasta the night before! A very pleasing stay :)

Great stay.

I have a short, but lovely stay, at this hotel. If you want luxury then go pay a lot more somewhere else. If it is basic at a good price, in an interesting area, near a Vaparetto then this is ideal. My grand son who lives nearby was impressed and will send his friends there.

mosquitos, cold, inconvenient location

We closed all the windows but there were still many mosquitos in the room. Our hotel room was so cold, We wore as much clothes inside the room as what we wore outside. Heating was not allowed until Oct 15. Breakfast was the worst I had in Italy, only sliced stale bread and crackers were served. That's it. The juice was watered down. It was strange to me that the color of the juice was pale and translucent. After I tasted it, I found out it was watered down. It's awful. And breakfast is surcharge, 5 euros per person. You might as well take your 5 euros to go somewhere else to buy a hot coffee and one semi-decent croissant. The room looked tired. The towels and bed sheets were old. The towels were really old, they were scratchy and dry. The location is far away from San Marco. For tourists, you will get lost and take longer to get to San Marco. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, a very quiet residential area, almost no human around at night. There's no good restaurants near the hotel. If you try to find a store selling you water and essential stuff near the hotel, you will not find it. It's really inconvenient. At night, there's very little street light and it was really dark near the hotel. It's not pleasant to walk back your hotel in the dark. After we went back to our hotel room, we didn't go out at night. Because it's really dark nearby and away from San Marco, it's hard to find the way. We wasted the night by staying in the hotel.

Great place to stay. Very handy to everything we wanted to do and have a look at. The place was lovely and clean. Only comment I would make is some of the other guests were very noisy and sound travelled easily but it didn;t stop us sleeping and we will definitely stay there again when we go back to Venice

Good hotel with a nice garden

Very nice garden and beautiful cat! (Me and my friend are both cat lovers :)) Anyways the owner was very nice and the room was spacious and neat. The hotel is very close (3 mins walk) to the ferry station (4.2 and 5.2 from the railway station - ferrovia) and there are a lot of nice restaurants around that area. Incoop are around the corner for grocery shopping. Oh if I am being picky then it's that there were quite a lot of Mosquitos in the garden (and the garden and the lobby are the only area where you can use the wifi) so we got bitten pretty badly ... Other than that everything is perfect!

Average

The hotel was good for the price however they charged our visa through hotels.com then when you get there they recharge you and cancel the other one. We ended having credit card issues and had to find a ATM to pay for our 2 nights even though it technically was paid for through the websight. Also they didn't tell you that there is a charge $10 for breakfast until checkout and it only was non toasted bread and coffee.

Quiet place

Very safe and friendly place, peaceful location, away from the crowds but still an easy walk to Rialto and San Marco. The air conditioning didn't work, so got a few mosquito bites from having the window open, but the room was otherwise pleasant, with lovely furniture, though shower room a bit small. Breakfast was quite plain (and extra), so better to skip it and buy dolce from the local patisserie. WiFi available only by reception.

Excellent Location and Comfortable Room

The hotel is only a short walk from Fondamente Nove vaporetto stop as well as only a short walk from many of the major sites in Venice. Highly recommended. Even a street-side room was very quiet as the area is mostly residential.

Nice hotel with a beautiful courtyard

The staff is very welcoming, and the room we booked for some reasons is not available, the person at the reception just uprated our room but keep the promising price we booked, also informed us clear that the hotel price does not include breakfast, and the price of the breakfast should we decided to use. A thoughtful map is giving upon our arrival. Both my daughter and I are vegans, we prepared some instant noodles in the case we can't find any vegan food to eat. The hotel kindly provide some hot water for us to the purpose. The hotel is beautifully arranged, with a very charming courtyard. A friendly cat stays in the hotel, and the first night, she followed us to our room, and stayed with us for a while. My daughter was so delighted, and still talks about her sometime. The location is very convenient; water bus line 42 or 52 from the Venezia S.L. train station to Fondamenta Nove, then look up the thoughtful sign on the corner of a building by the street, and follow the sign, in two minutes, we arrived to the hotel. The same water bus stops, we can get water bus to San Marco, Murano and Burano. P.S. There are many trains between Venzia S.L. and VE.Mestre at 1.25 Euro per person per ride. We were panicking on the night before we left Venice to find our early morning train was at VE Mestre not Venzia S.L., as there is not direct water bus to there. We would very grateful that a very kind young couple informed us about this as the reception was closed at the time.

Cute hotel, good location

Good hotel on the outskirts of Venice. 10 mins walk to Rialto Bridge, 15 mins to St Mark's Square. Really close to a Vaperetto stop and lots of lovely bakeries near by to get a cheap lunch before you hit the centre of Venice. Well looked after rooms with good features: shower, TV, desk, big bed. Would recommend and would stay again.

We had a good time

We had a very good stay at Hotel Boccassini. Very polite staff, nice garden and reasonable breakfast, nice rooms, We felt a bit uncomfortable because of the street noise, people were chatting and walking even after midnight, we could not close the windows as it was hot and no air-condition . maybe if you get the garden-front rooms you will be OK. The bathroom was quite clean but very small and was not a good feeling while the plastic curtain sticking to your leg every few seconds ! Internet access was only in the garden, office area very weak signal in the room. Get a map as it is not easy to find the place , Overall we were happy with our stay and it is recommended.

Comfortable and convenient hotel

This is a very convenient pleasant hotel close to ferries and 15 to 20 minutes easy walk to St Mark's Square. There are good restaurants and cheaper meals close by. The garden setting is beautiful.

Solid stay, nice staff, minus a couple comforts

The staff that checked us in were very nice and we were impressed with the beautiful little courtyard. Our room was clean with a couple windows overlooking the street, all in all a nice stay. Wifi is accessible mainly just from the entrance area and courtyard, would be very nice if it was accessible inside the rooms. The price was affordable, but still a bit high considering the baths are shared with other occupants.

Hidden gem with courtyard

Nice little hotel in the Cannaregio area of Venice. Very pretty inner courtyard with tables guests can use 24 hours a day. They do have internet, but doesn't work well beyond first floor. The bed was very hard, and the pillows were not very comfortable. No air conditioning, which is fine because windows open. No screens on windows to keep out Mosquitos. Staff was very nice and helpful and gave us a fan to use during our stay. We shared a bathroom with other guests that was nicely tiled and a large shower.
