Hotel and staff were amazing. The location was great and everything was clean and to standards

The staff was kind and friendly like the staff at every other hotel in Greece; nothing remarkable. They don’t answer when you call and the wi-fi barely works so it was the least tech savvy hotel I stayed at. There were moments when no one was in the hotel except one housekeeper so it felt deserted most of the time. The rooftop views are gorgeous but they don’t have an outdoor seating area. I went up there to take photos and the door locked me out and no one was able to help for over five minutes and no one answered the phone or email. I would not return.

Perfect hotel to stay in Syros. Nicolas, the owner, is a fabulous host and a true gentleman. He is very informative about the history of Syros. The boutique hotel is about a 5 min walk downhill (gentle) to the town where there are lots of tavernas, shops etc. Nicolas provides lots of useful information about the sights, beaches and restaurants. Anna provides a lovely breakfast, meats & cheeses, fruit, Greek yoghurt, breads. She also cleans the rooms and is a lovely person. The room was lovely, the bed very comfortable with a delightful welcome tray. All rooms are individually named and have history behind. I would highly recommend staying and I would return should I visit Syros again which is very likely. Thank you we should have stayed longer.

Lila and her family went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and take care of us! The islands quite small so we had an hard time getting a taxi from the airport and she sent her son to come pick us up! Everything about the stay was a 10/10! They are so kind, such great hospitality! Everything is exactly as described in the pictures and the place is so convenient and centrally located! We will definitely be back!

I really enjoyed my stay at Aktaion Hotel. The location is perfect, right by the ferry port and within walking distance of Ermoupoli’s restaurants, cafés, shops and main sights. The hotel itself has so much character, with its beautiful antique/neoclassical interior and lovely views of the water. The staff were particularly warm, friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. A charming place to stay when visiting Syros, and I would definitely come back!
