The motel is convenient for catching the early morning ferry. Only option close by. Staff friendly in check in. Room clean. But room decor and bathroom are dated and for the price could use a Reno.

Very disappointing. Room smelt stale, almost mouldy. The bed was uncomfortable. No air conditioning and the provided fan was loud. The toilet didn't work (we were given access to the toilet in another room), and the sink didn't drain properly. We won't be back.

If you’re staying at Horseshoe Bay to connect with the local ferry this is the place to stay, warm friendly welcome with the added bonus of a late check in. Rooms clean and comfortable with a good bathroom/shower complementary toiletries. Ferry terminal is within walking distance, what more could you want.

The room was clean and comfortable, check-in easy with a gracious host. But no mistaking it…this property is a 1950s or 1960s era motel. Parking lot should be repaved and a camper trailer next to the office on property gave the whole place a semi-seedy atmosphere. Renovating may be coming. The location is excellent with restaurants and the bay only a block away.

Ok but Wouldn’t do it again

As I understand it, the motel is under new management & things have improved since they took over. They were nice & it was clean enough, but there was no a/c & it’s kinda old. Anywhere else this hotel would be worth 80$/$120 per night. After tax these folks charged $348. Unless you are desperate for a room, move along….

The room was super hot with no air conditioner, they did provide a fan in the room. Bed was super old and stiff and pillows were not the greatest. I get they’re the only hotel in town but for $348.00 a night it should be way better …
