While we didn't think this would be like a room at the Holiday Inn, we weren't prepared for the cute little room we got. The rooms are what used to be a RR station and have been upfitted with enough modern conveniences that you won't be disappointed - surprised, but not disappointed. Our room (and I assume the others are like this) was filled with gadgets, devices, and appliances that were vintage for the time the RR was operating and stopped there (think early 1900's). It was fun to try and figure out what these items were used for back in the day. They have WiFi, a refrigerator, a stove, and a microwave so you're not back in the 1900's yourself. It's an interesting mix of eclectic, nostalgic, and quaint. Very nice!

Loved the accommodations in general. Cute decor. Fantastic view. Our cabin was not as clean as we had hoped in certain areas of it.

Didn’t really enjoy . Stains here and there . Doesn’t look too clean . Bed is not very comfortable. Not worth it for 350$ a night .

I can't say enough good things about The Florentine Hotel. Everything from little things like slippers, chocolate and tp flower to the amenities; like kayaks, campfires (s'more kits) and a bed swing by the lake. The beds were soft and comfortable, room was spotlessly clean. Close to Florence, sand dunes and the Siltcoos canoe trail. Right by the lake, wonderful views and the owners were so nice and attentive.

The front desk staff was barely civil, but rallied by walking us toward our room when the directions to get there were unclear to us. Unlike most Quality Inn building arrangements, there were many buildings separate from each other at some distance from the check in lobby. The room itself was large but lighting was inadequate. No reading light for the loveseat, very glaring white ceiling lights. The bathroom fan, when it worked, was very(!) loud. The bathroom tub had a pink airborne bacterium that thrives in dampness in the corners and is often thought to be mold. The shower pressure and water volumn were great. Towels were meager & sparingly provided. The location of the coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator was very close to the bed, making using it while another person was sleeping impossible. The worst issue were the large (12"x18" approximately) grated drains right outside many of the room doors on the cement walk. The smell emanating from some of these was that of raw sewage or rotting fish - my wife and I disagreed - and permeated the room if the wind wasn't in your favor or you dallied entering the room. So, the room was available on same day notice at a cost below many other hotels, was quiet when you weren't hearing the occupants of rooms next to or above you, the parking lot was not crowded at all, the walk to their free standard breakfast of sugar, fat and white flower combinations was a waker-upper, especially when the sidewalk to it ended strangely at a hedge
