We had a wonderful stay at Black Rock. The staff were amazing! The only thing are the Hot tubs have short hours. Would be nice to have an 8am-10pm schedule.

It was such a a beautiful location and Resort. We enjoyed the outside pools with the beautiful ocean views. The Resort was very dog friendly and our dog enjoyed the wonderful trails and stick library.

Partial ocean view was unexpected and lovely in a “trail” unit. Staff were friendly. Unfortunately, the fridge stank of old fish upon our arrival and required multiple visits over two days by housekeeping to improve the situation and the washing machine had stinky black mold in the front seal (and was therefore unusable).

From check in, to check out every staff member we interacted with was amazing. We began with a huge smile and a cookie. It was an easy check in process. The room was spotless, every detail beautiful. The view was amazing. Even with a storm outside the room stayed warm. The bed was comfortable and the food and drink was delicious.

We had a one bedroom suite with partial ocean view, room 316. In awe of the waves crashing over the rocks. Room recently renovated, new appliances which took a bit of getting used to. No printed instructions, just QR codes to scan. Struggled with the shower trying to figure out how to adjust temperature. Lighting is poor, small recessed ceiling lights, one floor lamp which we moved to the dining area as needed more light while sitting at the table. We love the location of the Black Rock Resort and have stayed there a few times. Wish the Big Beach Lounge had a different menu than Currents Restaurant. Same food, same prices and just okay except for the seafood chowder, it was delicious. All the staff very pleasant😁

The property is absolutely spectacular—set in a truly magical location. The design and amenities are beautiful, with a standout bathroom featuring a silver tub and large shower. The restaurant food was excellent, and the $45 food and beverage credit was a thoughtful bonus that we really enjoyed. Our room was tucked behind another building, so the ocean view was only a small glimpse from the deck, and parking was tricky—we had to wait for a spot. The outdoor hot tub is in a gorgeous setting, but with a 5 PM check-in, 9 PM closing, and reopening at 10 AM, it left little time to enjoy on a one-night stay. We also asked about a VIP room upgrade, but were told it’s not something offered at this resort. Despite these things, it was still a fantastic stay. The property’s beauty and atmosphere more than make up for the small challenges, and we’d love to return one day for the full experience.

Fantastic room overlooking the sea. It really is with paying the extra for the sea view - it's incredible. We were upgraded to the 1-bed suite and it was huge. The bed was so comfortable we both had the best nights sleep of our holiday (the crashing waves also helps!). The food and service in the restaurant was outstanding. The only criticism is the lack of mosquito blinds in the rooms - there were a lot of them even in September.

This is a lovely property with very friendly and helpful staff. It has pet friendly units which is awesome (unfortunately just not with ocean views). This property does not have daily room cleaning, so you have to request clean towels, coffee, etc. The staff delivers your requests in one big bag for you. There is a broom in the room, however it would have been helpful if there was a small vacuum to use on the carpeting for pet hair cleanups. The property is about a 20 minute walk into the little town which has limited stores and restaurants. The property has one restaurant and one bar. Both serve the exact same menu. The bar has daily happy hour for beer and wine only with no food being on the happy hour menu. Prices on the menu are outrageous ($25 for a bowl of clam chowder) however, unless you either walk or drive to town, you have no other food options.
