"Unbelievable Retreat in the Jungle"
From the moment we checked in until we left, this place is amazing. First rate staff seeking to meet all your needs. We were upgraded to a casita and it was amazing. Incredibly tranquil. Hike up to the gazebo was breathtaking. So much to do in the surrounding area. We specifically stayed here because we wanted to do more then set a s relax by a pool or at the beach. We did different excursions each day. We then came back at the end of the day after seeing the local sites and relaxed by the beautiful pool. I will not profess to say that we frequent high end hotels all the time, but I can attest this was the best retreat we have ever stayed at. Food was awesome too. Everything was very reasonably priced too. We are trying to plan a trip with our kids next time soon.

"Get out to see the Maya, not for hotel stickabouts"
Stayed in a cabana Adequate but needed refurbishment - the shower was just serviceable, the air conditioning underpowered for the size of the room, and the insect screen had enough holes to compromise its effectiveness (But there were enough lizards and geekos in the roof to sort out the intruders) Food is Belizean, well priced, but don't expect gourmet cuisine or great wines - stick to Beliken beer Local families use the place a lot at weekends, and that suggests it's better than town restaurants We wanted a base for the Mayan sites in Belize and Guatemala - it was just right

"Very quiet. Awesome scenery. "
The road to the Inn is very bad. If driving in yourself, you need to have the appropriate vehicle. Make sure the rental company allows your vehicle to go off of paved roads. The staff was super friendly and efficient. The main building at the resort is a house that was converted and the rooms are free standing duplexes a short walk from the main building. When we arrived, we were greeted outside and given a short orientation on the resort and surrounding property. The rooms are nice. There is a phone and fireplace, but no TV or air conditioner. A ceiling fan makes sleep comfortable. The staff kept our room spotless. They also have a fireplace in each room with a stockpile of wood/kindling. This was a nice amenity as it got slightly chilly at night. There is a pool, screen porch, small lounge with reading material, bar, and dining area. 7200 acres of land to explore on foot or by vehicle. Butterfly Falls is amazing and worth the hike. You can swim in the pool at the bottom, but the water is spring fed so it’s a bit cold. You need to be in moderately good shape to go on the hikes. There are walking sticks at the entrances to most trails. I would recommend taking them as they help with all of the rocks/steps you need to navigate. The Cascade Trail is also highly recommended. It follows the river and has numerous primitive bridges across the water. Dining was very good. The chef knows what he is doing. Continental breakfast is othing special: yogurt, cereal, juice, a few piece

"Budget Hotel Close to Everything"
The room was small but had all the comforts (ac,tv, desk, and ceiling fan.) the hallways were nice and airy and you could hear birds singing. The only downside was you could kind of hear noises in other rooms, it wasn't that bad though. The hotel was in the town centre and was super close to everything. The staff was very friendly and the hotel had a mix of international guests.

Hotwire will hook you up! From restful nights near your flight to that prime spot in the city’s heart, we’ve done our research to bring the best options to your fingertips. Book your Teakettle Village hotel with us now and start your next adventure.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
