Although the bedroom and bathroom was clean and comfortable for a 2 night stay, the shared kitchen was dirty and not enough cups and spoons etc. Although they have a sign that says clean your own dishes - this does not happen! (The sign was dirty) I was looking for dishwasher tablets (box was empty ) in a cupboard under the sink and found dirty dishes plus the shelves were broken and dirty. Taps are broken bins not emptied. Not a pleasant space!

Good value

Large clean and comfortable room. Close to shops and eateries. The only complaint is there isn’t someone on site when you’d expect them to be and nobody answers the phone if you need help.

Positives: Nice shower, friendly staff, clean and quite modern, reasonably priced. Things that could be worked on: Not enough on-site parking, flimsy bedding, heat pump didn’t generate enough heat, there was a heater but it was too small for the room.

I went to taupo for my trip. Stay in silver fern lodge. It gives a very good experience also quite environment. No disturbance and a good with a cheap option room.

The spare pillow and blanket had blood marks on them. Reception was not manned till after 3pm and no one there in the morning for departure. The Bathroom had a lot of mould in the shower area

The walll heater was too small for the unit and had a low heat coming out of one side. Even when turned up it made no difference. The room was cold especially at night and looked and felt miserable to the point where my husband and I abandoned our stay. For the money paid it was well over priced. The spare blanket in the room was too dirty to put on the bed. When we arrived at our room there was a pile of washing sitting on the floor close by with no-one in sight to pick it up. Ring in bathroom for holding a small towel was broken. We met an employee as we left and he advised us we could have called maintenance even although there was no reference to be able to contact anyone responsible in the facility. We will not use this facility again. It was our first and last time we will be staying there.
