The entire house is pristine as advertised! We love the modern kitchen and the open floorplan of the living area. It makes the entire family feel connected. We also enjoyed using both the front deck and back patio. Our little Corgi LOVES the fenced-in backyard! Everyone in our group truly enjoyed the house. We already plan to come back with our other family members.

The property was in a nice location - only a few miles from the lake. It was well appointed with kitchen and bathroom supplies. It had great space for our family. Unfortunately, the decor and furniture were very worn and dated (could use new rugs, carpeting, sofa, shower curtains, etc.). There were x-mas decorations in various parts of the house (we visited in July). The outside areas were not cleaned and ready for use - dirty patio furniture and decks and dog poop in the yard. The refrigerator took nearly 48 hours to get to proper temperature to maintain cold food. Guest services were responsive when we inquired about the fridge, but only confirmed it takes time to get cold. We arrived with groceries so not having a cold fridge was a huge inconvenience. Finally, the downstairs shower did not have enough water pressure to function properly and the whole family was forced to use the upstairs shower (which also had very limited water pressure). With some minor investments this could really be an "alpine gem" but in it is current state it was rather disappointing.

Lake Tahoe is absolutely a beautiful! Alpine Gem Is a great location in a quiet neighborhood. Only down side for us is there is a pet that lives in the home even though the rental is not pet friendly. We are allergic and that was a bummer. Hot tub was a bonus!! Maybe add some small solar lights.
