My 2nd time at Penn Stroud. I am here for my daughter who goes to ESU. The rooms are very clean and allow me comfort when I come here. My bed is always comfortable. The front desk people are very nice & helpful

Stay was just fine I will say that I feel it is overpriced I stayed Thursday and Friday night asked about extending an extra night they quoted me $340 for the extra night. Were talking about stroudsburg, pa folks.

First night was awful. Room next door was loud until after 2am. Made complaint to front desk, the came up once but that was it. I got three hrs of sleep and had to be up early to attend training for work. I had to move to another room the following night to avoid the same issue due to individual in that other room also stating another night.

The Penn Stroud is a comfortable and great jumping off point for visiting the rest of the Poconos. The town very nice add for the trip.

For the price there is an expectation that the hotel will be comfortable and have some amenities. It was more like a motel. The room had a bed, desk and nothing else. BAthroom was adequate. But the smell in the hotel was overwhelming. It smelled like decay and an old building. It left us with an uncomfortable feeling. Wouldnt return.
