Great place clean, super quiet overlools mountainside. 15 minutes to lava hot springs, 30 minutes to pocatello. Newly remodeled. Great place for family reunions or small group getaways, has connecting bedrooms and a shared kitchen with microwave, sink, dishwasher and fridge. Nice place.

There was an outbreak of Box Elder bugs on all of the doorsteps at the motel, getting into the rooms. There should have been more done to deal with the infestation.

The nature surrounding The Lost Trail Resort is enough to want to come back, but when you factor in the ammenities, the cleanliness, and the helpfulness of the staff it makes it a guarantee that we will stay there again.

The motel was very clean throughout as well as the rooms. Breakfast was yummy and staff were very pleasant. Quite surprised by the accommodations in a smaller community like Soda Springs.

This inn must be a converted house. It's on the edge of town in a residential area. The room (3 Shakespeare) is tiny, with no closet. There are no heat/AC controls in the room. The blinds cannot be lowered to completely cover the window (thank goodness for curtains). Each bedside table is equipped with 4 USB plugs for device charging, that's ni- oh, none of them actually work. The shower is all right although the water pressure is mediocre. There is nowhere to hang a towel. This feels like we're staying in someone's second-best guest bedroom. A train runs nearby, blowing its horn several times a night. The light on the bathroom mirror, which cannot be turned off, shines through the frosted glass door of the bathroom & illuminates the whole bedroom, all night long. The mattress was comfortable but the linens feel short-sheeted - my husband & I fought each other for sufficient covers. The breakfast is pretty much a joke. There's a Keurig machine for coffee, but only one kind of pod is available. I just discovered that the milk at the coffee bar is 4 days past its use-by date. There are broken-open yogurts in the fridge. This is a very weird setup & somehow does not feel like an inn or hotel at all. The library theme is cute & yay, there are loaded bookshelves everywhere, but I'd trade all that for a cup of drinkable coffee.
