Spirit Lake Vacation Packages

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming but sadly they are understaffed. Upon arrival and settling into my room I discovered the deadbolt on the door lock did not work. I immediately went to the front desk in person and reported this. I was assured it would be taken care of. Nope, not that day, nor the next day, nor the next day, and still not fixed when I checked out at the end of a 4 night stay. I asked every day if it was going to get fixed. In all honesty though, I never did ask for a different room because I was under the impression it was going to be fixed. Although they were apologetic and I’m supposed to he compensated with rewards points it still did not make me feel safe while I was there— as I was traveling as a single senior female. The staff seem to be doing their best but this was very concerning.

THE STAY WAS GOOD IN EVERY WAY. THE BREAKFAST MENU WAS A BIT LIMITED, HOWEVER.

Out of all 5 places we stayed on this trip it was hands down the best ,clean & shape utensils, pots & pan the girls love them & the equipment looked new & high quality all except the dishwasher did not function well. Absolutely we would stay here again for the next fan fest .

Pool area and outside dining so nice ! Room nice , clean and comfy . My only negative was I forgot my toothbrush and front desk didn’t have one so sent me to a vending machine where for 8.79 I got to purchase a throwaway . My bad for forgetting but yikes .

Outdoor pool was closed for maintenance both days we stayed. So spa was packed with kids and families. Property is basically VERY outdated and old! Smells like an old hunting lodge or Elks Lodge! Lol! Everything decorated in orange and brown! Terrible or no landscaping on our “cheap” or “3rd party guest” wing! 😏 Literally marked on our free breakfast passes - “3rd party guests” and told us only this side is open to you for dining/seating! 🙄 Lack of comfortable furniture! Hard cafeteria like chairs to sit in the room. TV was old, NOT a smart tv - so no streaming. Cable went out twice during the World Cup soccer match we were trying to watch. Bar didn’t even have tvs for viewing or entertainment! Overall, a place to stop, rest. NOT a destination or vacation vibe at all! NOT a resort, a “motel” with high hotel prices. Wasn’t awful, it’s just… I wouldn’t recommend to anyone!

Friendly staff, clean and spacious room. Definitely will be back.
