Great front desk staff. Beach shuttle was great. Amazing view from the balcony

I visited this place 4-5 years ago and I loved it but it was lacking a better outdoor kids pool. Fast forward to today it’s still the same issue, nothing for kids to really do or play in other than the lazy river. When it comes to the room I was glad to see that the carpet flooring had been replaced with something more suitable. But the living room chairs are so outdated, the curtains are old and started to crack. My dvd player in the living room didn’t work so I couldn’t watch the movie I picked out for the kiddos to watch. And then I had a phone issue…it didn’t work the whole time being there and I was told twice that someone was going to come to fix it. Never got done. And then there’s the neighbors issue. When it came time to lay down after being tired from being up all day in the sun moving around, dealing with kids, had a bite to eat…the neighbors want to start beating on the walls, stomping loud, and the doors have no pressure to them so when someone closes the doors it’s a loud bang. I may give this place a try one more time because I love the location right down from the amusement park, and I love eating eat Scooby’s. It is so convenient to have a place that serves food and alcohol beverages right outside attached to the hotel.

My experience at Embassy Suites was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. I paid extra for both early check-in and late check-out, yet neither service was honored. To make matters worse, I didn’t even receive my room on my first day until 8:30 PM. After paying for the room and additional services, having to wait until the evening to check in was completely unacceptable. Because I lost most of my first day, I spoke with the hotel and requested to extend my stay by one night. I was told that my extension was confirmed. Later, the next day, I was suddenly informed that nothing had actually been extended and that I needed to leave immediatel as they were overbooked. Trying to solve the issue myself, I booked another reservation online. Instead of working with me, the hotel threatened to cancel my new reservation and still force me to leave, leaving us without a place to stay after we had already made plans for the day. I even offered to pay for an additional night or, at the very least, pay for a late check-out. Rather than finding a solution, management was dismissive and unhelpful throughout the entire situation. If the hotel overbooked, that’s an internal. We were the ones left scrambling with nowhere to stay because of mistakes that were completely outside of our control. The lack of communication, poor organization, and disappointing customer service—especially from management—made this an incredibly frustrating experience. I cannot recommend this hotel!
