Do Not Stay Here

From the moment I got there, I was wary. The photos posted online were enhanced far more than hotels usually do, making it look completely different/better than it actually is. The person at the front desk was nice, but I got to my room and it smelled like mildew. When I went to shower, there wasn't much water, and what water there was didn't drain. The bottom of the shower looked absolutely disgusting. After I showered, my feet were dirty just from walking around the room for a few minutes. I went to bed, and due to the very thin walls and loudest air conditioning unit ever, I could not sleep. I tried to cancel and get the money back for the rest of my stay, but of course they refused. It was such a bad experience, I went to stay at a different hotel for my trip. You get what you pay for, but this hotel should not be an 8/10.

Entering and exiting was great. Hotel was accommodating to our needs for a meeting place for a baseball dinner. Staff was pleasant and worked on getting things fixed or moving to make the client happy.

Very good. Need Wingate sign at the hotel. It said “The Clover”. I figured it out. Very competent person at the desk. He handled multiple issues at once. You need grab bars in the bathroom. Bath tub floor slippery. Grab bars inside the shower too. I will definitely stay there again.

We had to stay here unexpectedly when other plans fell through when we were on the road. The property and room appear fine, but the issue was the horrible musty smell in our room. It was also very warm, despite adjusting the A/C. We only needed a few hours to quickly get some sleep so we could get on the road again, so we didn’t make an issue of it.

A sprawling hotel

This property was very large, and we had to walk a long way to get to our room and then to breakfast. Also no elevators. We were fine with this but others may find troublesome. The room was comfortable, but the ac was extremely loud. The hot breakfast was okay, but with thin paper plates and plastic silverware and cups.

The property is huge with rooms on two levels and NO elevators. The fact they do not have elevators should be clearly stated in their hotel description. If it is, I did not see it. Also, the rooms are large but no furniture for sitting except one desk chair. It has been a long time since I have stayed in a hotel with no chair or couch in addition to the bed and desk chair. I have used Wyndham hotels before and expected better accommodations.

Solid value, under change of ownership

Hotel is in the middle of a change of ownership, that is clear, and confusing. There's real effort being made. Signage isn't clear as a result and there's some "oldness" still creeping about. No elevator, and the old version of the hotel allows for a lot of parking lot activity (exterior room access is everywhere) with grilling out, etc by those who are on more permanent stays. It's an unusual setup. Room itself was spacious and well appointed, save for a loud a/c unit and a buzzy television.

We checked in, our room air conditioner was not working. We went to the front desk & they said they would send maintenance we told them we were leaving for a bit but please go on in & look at it. We ask if they had fans she said we have one in the office but it’s really dusty. We got back 4 hours later-still hot! Of course now a new girl was at the front desk - Lexi bless her heart she tried! We waited another hour and a man came in, fiddled with the remote for the AC said he would have his boss come look at it. An hour later I called Lexi again and requested a room change - no all booked. I ask her could she clean the fan and bring it and she said absolutely! She brought it and apologized for the whole incident. Also kudos to the super nice lady that hosts the breakfast I didn’t get her name. Then at checkout - that lady could not have cared less and was not going to give any discount and when I said “Well I am not giving a good review” She just shrugged- Lexi could teach her a thing or two about customer service.
