The staff was wonderful! Misleading info about airport shuttle. This makes a difference in choosing a hotel and it needs to be honest. Major renovations made it not very appealing. The staff was amazing though! It is offensive that the price is so drastically inflated during events-so sad!

We have stayed here in the past and will definitely stay again. The rooms were clean and spacious. The bathroom was pretty small that would be my only complaint. It is central to dining and very close to ND.

This is my second time staying here, and even though they’re doing some renovations, it was still very comfortable. I have seen some reviews that say the construction from renovation made their experience terrible—it had no impact on my stay at all. There was no noise, my room was just fine, and all of the amenities were available. I saw a guy painting in the lobby when I was leaving, and that’s it. It was clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly, and the location is convenient.

We had a nice stay overall. We were surprised that there was no air conditioning on in the main areas of the hotel including the lobby and atrium where the restaurant was. We had to use room service for our meal because we didn’t want to eat and sweat at the same time. It was very much like a sauna with the temps outside near 90 degrees. The air conditioning worked perfectly in the actual hotel room. Just the other areas and hallways were very hot plus the elevators. The pool area was very warm and pool water was a mild warm bath temp a few degrees less would have been more ideal for the summer months in our opinion, so we passed on the pool option considering it was hot everywhere else but in our room.

Room was dirty, floor clearly not swept,staff at front desk was new and needed direction, no ice machine was working and no one in the restaurant for ice. Refrigerator had water all over the bottom. Theshower seals bad in room, water was all over the floor. Hotel was hot, room was uncomfortable, A/C in room couldn't keep up. Parking garage looked like a dump and staff hanging out in trh dump isnt a good look. Expected better.

So hotel is in midst of refurbishment so some things like ac in the corridors were not working well. Rooms perfect - bed and pillows fantastic. Breakfast buffet great value and good food - sausage gravy and biscuits was exactly as should be.

Stay elsewhere!

Currently in the process of renovations, but seems like they're a decade too late. The lobby/atrium was hot and humid (had temporary cooling), tub was nasty, bar/restaurant was closed a few days. Also got charged 3 times on 2 different cards (the desk staff "couldn't get the card to work" the first time. Still charged me though). They got one of those canceled, but it's been 10 days now and i still have a pending charge on my debit card, so the bank is still holding that money. If you're going to South Bend, do yourself a favor and stay at the Courtyard by Marriott or the Aloft, both are within a couple blocks.
