Liked the room, location as an option to Leavenworth. Live music (sometimes?) behind restaurant!

We stay here at least once a year and love The Blue Elk. Actually, we haven’t stayed anywhere else in Leavenworth in over seven years. Every employee we have engaged with is extremely nice, courteous, and professional. The breakfast is always delicious.

I hate to leave a negative review because I rarely complain, but our experience was very disappointing. On our first night, we had no hot water. My daughter had an accident in the middle of the night, and we waited and waited for the water to heat up, but it never did. Having no hot water in the middle of the night with young kids was incredibly frustrating. I tried calling the front desk for assistance, but no one answered the phone. The next day, we let the kids spend a little time in the pool, but we decided to leave a full day and night early because we were worried we'd have the same issue again. We didn't feel comfortable risking another night without hot water. Unfortunately, because of this experience and the lack of response from the front desk, we will not be staying here again.

Overall the stay was good. However the house keeper left several items from the previous guests in different drawers. It clearly had not been swept there is a massive amount of hair under the bed. It felt a little dirty. We were provided three towels for a three night stay. One hand towel. There was a key left in the laundry room I think by accident, that's how I was able to get more towels. The patio screen door was off when we arrived so I could not have the patio door open without a screen. The blinds for the patio are also broken. We appreciated the a/c, wifi, and pool access. The full kitchen is why we chose this place. Very convenient. Vince is very responsive and the condo is nice. The house keeper not so much. I washed my clothes the last day and found a wet pile of bed sheets in the dryer from the last visitors. It stuck real bad. Vince you may need new housekeepers. There were also dead flies on the ground and counter.
