We booked 4 rooms for a family trip and had a mixed experience overall. Check-in was surprisingly slow and disorganised It took much longer than expected. Four different staff members were involved, with three of them constantly deferring to one more experienced staff, which caused unnecessary delays. There was also no explanation provided about the hotel facilities, Wi-Fi access, or any helpful information during check-in. One thing that puzzled us was the repeated “wellness check” knock on the door every single day, which felt intrusive and disrupted our rest. The air conditioning in the rooms was inconsistent, especially at night—sometimes it was too hot, other times too cold, making it hard to stay comfortable. The lobby seating was limited and uncomfortable, too small for the number of guests around. I also had an issue in the gym where I accidentally left my room card inside. There was no staff manning the gym counter, and I had to trouble another guest to help me retrieve the card. On the positive side, the hotel offers convenient access to Tanglin Mall via level 2, and the beds were very comfortable, which made for a good night’s sleep. Overall, while there are some good aspects, the service and guest experience fell short. I would not recommend this hotel for stays beyond one night.

Eco saving hotel

The hotel is very eco friendly as it doesn't provide bottled water, instead the hotel has premium filtered tap water for drinking. That's perfectly fine for adults, but I doubt any couple travelling with young children will use premium filtered tap water to make milk powder for their toddlers. I booked the Club Room that comes with afternoon tea and cocktail. The lounge has very very very limited choice of snacks and drinks. Cocktail time also only beer and few bottles of wines available throughout the 2 hours session. The swimming pool looks old and the floor somehow I'm not sure if it's purposely for anti-slippery, but the floor feels a bit sandy or dusty on bare foot. The room looks vintage, bed is average. They do provide baby cot, but I wonder why is there no blanket and pillow for baby cot, also there is no children toiletries provided, despite I have informed the hotel a few times I'm travelling with young toddler. And another amazing point, the front desk told me I booked the hotel on Expedia, in fact is Hotels.com, so my ShangriLa member cannot be used.

Bad bed mattress and pillow

My first 2 nights was terrible. The bed mattress was extremely bad, could not support the body weight although i am mere 70kg. Asked for contour pillow an a small sized flat one was provided.
