Clean room and breakfast was excellent staff polite as well!

Room was greatly clean. Check in staff was very helpful. This hotel is so beautiful. I always enjoy my stay over here.

Very well appointed Nice town to walk around

I booked this place since it had free breakfast, which they do not have. There was no curtain on the window thus light in the room all night. Dresser drawer would not close and kept sliding out. Toilet made outrageous noise refilling. The parking lot has numerous potholes making it difficult to drive without damaging the car. The staff person acted as if he did not care when confronted with issues. Carpets were old and appear to have mold or have never been cleaned. It appears the owners do not care about having a comfortable place and experience. Remember, you get what you pay for. I stayed here in the past for business and it was fine, never again! It's worth a little more money to stay somewhere else. I do lots of traveling worldwide. This is definitely a 2-star place, not even close to 3-stars.

Gorgeous room, however we had specifically requested the room with the kitchenette…room does not come with any plates, cutlery, cookware etc. Had to request it twice from the concierge and we had a rusty and greasy pan delivered to us from the kitchen. We didn’t end up using the kitchenette at all because we thought that was quite gross and what we were paying for the hotel it just didn’t add up. Second, having a blow dryer without a diffuser and a budget hairdryer at that …again for such an expensive hotel was really disappointing. HOWEVER despite all of this, the staff and room itself was very nice and clean. They also had a guest snack and beverage bar on each of the floors which was provided for free. I think The Daxton would benefit from paying attention to the little things to make the guest experience that much better. PS we loved the bikes!
