my stay in seoul

the simple stay in jongro is very comfortable location for public transportations. neighborhood is not so great but so many local restaurants. room was clean and comfortable, breakfast wat good. staffs are very kind and helpfull. overall, I 'd like to recommend who wants to go to seoul for affordable budget.

As the name suggests, this hotel offers a simple stay. Do not expect too many amenities or a great view; get out of the hotel for those! But good value and a good stay with friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast was very minimal in its variety and the seating area for breakfast is very limited, so I would personally recommend exploring breakfast options elsewhere. Bakeries and cafés within ~10 minures walking distance would be a better option.

Very nice hotel!

Clean, comfortable, and a great value for the price. We loved the jacuzzi tub in our room. The check-in and checkout process was easy with friendly and helpful staff. The location is excellent and convenient for tourists. The only thing I wish they had was a shower cap, as I forgot mine at home.

Great location and price

Fantastic location and exactly as advertised. Our room was small but clean and was easy to check in to. The brunch and patio area were very nice and we appreciated the rooftop space as well. Would definitely return to this hotel if staying in the area.

We stayed at this property for 6 nights in June - we chose a double premium room which despite being small was very compact and I was particularly impressed at the use of space in the room especially the tiny bathroom. Room was cleaned on request and an inclusive breakfast each day was a big benefit. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful and we paid extra in last day to keep our room for a few more hours before airport. Location is very convenient to subway and walkable to restaurants and convenience stores & high street shopping. Would return but would choose a bigger room.

Wonderful Hotel in Seoul

After our 3rd time at SimpleStay Hotel we feel compelled to write this review and recommend it to others. It is a very simple place to stay in a vibrant location at a very reasonable price. What makes it so exceptionable is the true kindness and generosity of the staff and owners. Truly a special kind of loving service throughout our two week stays. It also provides a simple breakfast buffet with exceptional coffee, that I love. Certainly not a luxurious hotel, it provides us with the perfect home base as we explore the beauty and culture of Seoul.

This is a clean, simple hotel. We were able to use their laundry facilities for a very reasonable fee. The included breakfast was very good. We were able to store iur bags before checkin without a fee. Would stay here again.

hotel is located in a very good area, right next to the metro and close to the city center. staff were great, and the rooms were very clean. However, the toilet started to smell after a few days. Also, window was very small and didn’t have any view. breakfast was poor, but overall, it’s still a good hotel for the price.

Simple but great

The room was clean and the staff were super nice, especially the younger guy working evenings. Breakfast was simple and basic but it got the job done and we enjoyed it for the price. Location was great, could get busy and loud in the evening, but room was quiet. Would definitely recommend and return for my next trip. Little touch up with paint in the rooms would be a nice touch.

Where to begin? The only way I could see people rating this place as a five star is if they wanted to take the bribe for rating it as such. (Yeah, they give you a box of cookies if you'll rate them a 5 star). Now the hotel's nice enough, especially for a budget hotel.It's really quite good. The breakfast is okay (it's free). I don't think they thought out the bathroom situation terribly well, regarding the shower water going everywhere. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The biggest knock on this hotel is that you really don't want to show up after 10pm down the dark alley in which it is located lined with drunken bums in the streets all around you. It is scary. I would have to say, the scariest place i've ever stayed location wise. But during the daytime, the sketchy types are gone, and it's much quieter. We stayed for 4 days. So you get used to it, and you just make sure you're safe.

It had plenty of facilities like laundry and a kitchen on the roof terrace. The rooms were clean, they love their technology with keyless access to your room. Ok if you don't lose your phone. Bahroom was the main let down as it was very small. Sink and shower was combined. Breakfast was good but lacked variety a bit, nice dining area though.
