Getting to the Ibis Seoul Myeongdong was an experience. Needed to check-in after checking out of the previous hotel near Seoul Station. Unfortunately, there was a massive people demonstration that evening and the streets surrounding Myeongdong and proximity were closed by the police. There weren't any taxis or public transportation going into and out of that area. Walked about a mile to the Ibis with luggage...Arrived and was greeted by friendly and helpful guest registration person. Got upgraded to a larger, more comfortable Jr. Suite, which was very much appreciated after the long walk dragging my luggage, going against the demonstrators. Spent a very restful night at the hotel in a clean and comfortable room!

Our party of four adults and one youth stayed four nights at this hotel in early November. We picked this hotel because of its convenient location and also the availability of three beds room. We took 2 rooms (a two bed and a three bed) for the five of us. The rooms were tidy and in fair condition.
The three beds room (came with 1x double and 2x single) was significantly larger and certainly quite comfortable for a family of 3 adults (or 2 adults + 2 kids).
The hotel staff were friendly and generally helpful. While English is still a little limited, the staffs tried their best to address our questions and assist us. Overall a pleasant experience.
The hotel is located in the quiet end of the Myeongdong Market and within reasonable walking distance to the department store and name brand shopping district. The Myeongdong Station (Line 4) is within 5 mins walk. On arrival, we took the train from ICN to Seoul Station, and then took 2 taxis to hotel (cost below 10,000 won per cab). For departure, the hotel arranged a large taxi van that fitted all 5 of us with 6 large luggage (cost to ICN around 85,000 won)

We really enjoyed our stay. It was very family friendly. My toddler loves the kids room and I think older kids (and adults) would enjoy the arcade room. Having a CU on site was nice. Would like to see Chelsea breakfast options though. Overall would recommend it.

Conveniently located near ICN. Hotel has airport shuttle service on the hour (:00) to ICN and at (:10) from ICN to the hotel. Entrance has entry doors that were broken or non-functioning and/or in need of repair; only one door for hotel entry. Hotel was mostly clean and comfortable, hotel reception staff was ok. Stayed overnight and needed to open windows as room A/C not working and room was a bit stuffy. Checked out of hotel next morning, checked luggage in storage area and was able to accomplish last minute shopping in the surrounding areas of Seoul by subway. Handy subway/metro maps available in English on the web for personal use. Followed the most convenient way for my needs, and didn't get LOST! Returned to this hotel to retrieve luggage and took hotel shuttle to airport for flight home...returned home safely!
