Great location, but spend a little extra money and stay somewhere nicer. The room was musty. When you stepped on the floor on the bathroom, water would seep up through the laminate flooring. Not great. I also had to empty a dehumidifier which was already in the room - multiple times during our two night stay. I know humidity is an issue on an island, but it was literally sunny and 70 for the three days we were there.

the overall feel and environment of the inn. Plenty of open space to settle down by oneself or with friends to relax, read or play a game. Breakfast was excellent and the staff informative, helpful and courteous. I am also a fan of Edna St Vincent Millay and to remember that she read her poetry at the Inn was a plus. The walk to town was easy and the old homes along the way as well at the trees and flowers will provide a peaceful joy to your day.

What a great inn. The owners are on site and provide a charming and comfortable place to stay on costal Maine. Highly recommended.

First floor of property was under construction and looked a bit shabby. Overall unit was good although electronics took some getting used to.

Super room

When arrived to check in, we went to the assigned room which had not been cleaned or made up since the prior guests. Reservation was cancelled by the receptionist. Thankfully!!
