Skamania Lodge is a lovely property with an amazing view of the Columbia River. The grounds and staff are very attentive to guest needs. We enjoyed our stay very much!

When we checked in, our room had caked mud and straw on the floor as well as food in the garbage. The towels in the bathroom were wet and on the floor. It was obvious the room hadn't been cleaned. I went back to the front desk and they were booked solid, so I offered to take fresh towels and garbage sacks to clean the mess myself. They said they would refund part of the room, but they never did. Didn't really apologize either. Incredibly disappointed in their dismissal of our room condition. It was the first night of our family vacation and we'd been in the road for ten hours. Not the funnest thing to clean your hotel room after being on the road all day. Wouldn't recommend.
