Great place. Friendly staff and very helpful . I feel they should definitely work on the meals provided which were great but for the price of their buffet I believe that should be included. Also, I appreciate the cleanliness of the room but they definitely need to work on the smell of the rooms. . They smell old and like mildew . But I honestly would return regardless until next time . Thank you to all the staff

I stayed at the hotel for 3 days. The first room # 525 didn’t have hot water ( cold shower wasn’t happy) They moved me to # 419 I did have hot water but other issues were present with the new room: mold, dirty bathroom, hole in a pipe… At the restaurant, during breakfast time they didn’t have a tea bag ( was in another department was the answer for a 10 minutes wait) its breakfast time .. I didn’t ask for a hammer 😂😂. It was not a pleasant experience. I wont stay again at the Barcelo Santo Domingo

The VIP section at the hotel needs improvement—particularly in food quality and operating hours. I’ve stayed at this hotel numerous times and, until now, never left a review. But I’ve come to realize that by staying silent, I may have unintentionally done it a disservice—especially because I genuinely love this place. That said, I’ve noticed a decline recently. The buffet, which used to be the best in Santo Domingo, has suddenly dropped in quality. It no longer lives up to the high standards it once set. I’m sharing this feedback in the hope that management will take it constructively and bring back the excellence that made this hotel stand out in the first place.
