Once again, we had a wonderful day at the ocean Pacific Lodge! We really like the owners, they’re very lovely people. The bed is comfortable the room is clean, it’s in a great location and the parking is free.

Nice hotel in north Santa Cruz. Room was clean and comfortable but in need of updates/repairs. Shutter were broken and furniture warm and damaged. We were just there for a quick stay but would stay again if not looking for something closer to the water.

It was just an overnight trip. The room was a little small for the four of us. And they could use new pillows. Other than that it was very clean. Great location friendly staff. Quick check-in and out. And the pool is only heated to 75°

Room was clean and comfortable. The double shower head was a nice touch. The huge downside is that you hear booms and bangs whenever anyone walks up the stairs or moves around, period. Thankfully, there wasn't much activity after 10 so I was able to get decent sleep, but I would not return and take the risk of being subject to that awful noise. The management provide ear plugs and sleepy tea so that's an indication they know noise from common movement is a huge problem. It was very close to everything and that was a bonus.

I always had a good room on the second floor. This time, I had a room on the first floor (ground level), which was very disappointing. The floor is worn out, and the sink was dirty with long hair in it. The WiFi and TV reception were poor and almost non-existent.

This is a great place to stay in Santa Cruz. Close to the boardwalk and the wharf/pier, easy access to downtown, rooms are clean with comfortable beds, plenty of free parking, and the owners/staff were great. We lived in SC for a decade, wife went to UCSC, so we know the sneaky secret spots and locals-only intel, and this place is a low-profile gem. It isn't fancy and it isn't a "resort" - it's a clean, affordable place to stay in a great location.

Good for the price and location.

I’ve stayed here before and the rooms are definitely getting old. Bathroom really needs updating. But it was still acceptable for one night. Both ladies in the office for check-in and out were so kind and friendly. Great spot and good value. I’d stay here again even though it’s rather old.
