Not worth the $300—wish I’d stayed elsewhere. The place is seriously run down. The beds are ancient and on rollers, so good luck staying in one spot—any movement and you're halfway across the room. We could hear everything from the couple next door (they only lasted 4 minutes, if you're curious), so privacy is nonexistent. The toilet was cramped, the shower was grimy, and overall the room felt neglected. The lady at the front desk was kind, but that doesn’t make up for the condition of the place. Sorry, but this was a hard pass for me. Won’t be returning.

For a very 'humble' motel, it was adequet for a night's sleep; I would strongly suggest the the Santa Barbara sunset Motel replace the thin curtains with 'black out' curtains as the morning sun woke us up at 7am.

Scammed Out of My Money – Dishonest Management booked a room at Sunset Hotel Santa Barbara but had my wallet stolen shortly before arriving. When I showed up, the owner refused to let me check in without a physical ID (understandable), but told me I would be refunded since I couldn’t stay. A few days later, I followed up—and she completely changed her story, claiming that because I didn’t “cancel,” she held the room and kept the payment. I never even set foot in the room, and she refused to honor her original promise of a refund.
