Great stay!

Loved this cute little motel! Room was small but well appointed with a comfortable bed and lovely shower. Great amenties, friendly staff, fabulous location - walkable to so many things while being in a quiet neighborhood tucked off the main drag. I'll be back!

Prices over a holiday

Not thinking in advance about the weekend being a “3-day weekend” I suppose the price gouging should have been expected. But paying nearly $400 for a typical “motel” room (should never have cost more that $200.00), was not something I was happy with. The room was clean and comfortable, but terribly small and claustrophobic. The power went out and they had no generator (lost a business meeting because of this). And we were traveling with a small dog and the only place to bring her to alleviate herself was out in front of the hotel. Also, I had thought the hotel was on the main road so that I could see the ocean …. Not the case. It’s a block.or two away… Not bad, just not close enough to the water to see it. Lastly- very boring breakfast options. Cuodos to the staff - they are the glue! I probably won’t stay again.

There is only one negative comment about this property, it's got the tiniest and tightest parking lot possibly in all of Santa barbara. If you have an suv, be sure that you are comfortable maneuvering in tight spaces. But that is the most minimal of nitpicky comments that one could make. The room was clean and nice. The staff was extremely helpful. The location was incredible. Right by the ocean and close to state street. I love Santa Barbara and we found this place on accident and I will definitely be back.

Best place to stay near the pier.

Stayed here as a waypoint going to San Diego. Clean, freshly renovated and within walking distance of the pier and restaurants. The breakfast selections were better than most places like this. It was the only motel that had no vacancies they day we stayed, which speaks for itself.

Great!

Great large rooms. Very clean and comes with anything you might need. Close to the pier with a few restaurants nearby. The only negative is that if you are traveling with your dog, they say not to leave them in the room by themselves or they will call animal control and remove them!! I was shocked! My dogs are well behaved even if left alone but I understand why they ask them to be supervised. Most hotels do, but never with that stipulation. We usually leave alone just for a few hours while we go eat. However, we ended up just ordering in. Otherwise, it was a very nice stay and the staff were friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Pleasantly surprised

Overall, a really nice stay! The service was great and the quality of the amenities very good, e.g. continental breakfast much better than most places I’ve been to in the last few years.Very comfortable except for the pillows, which were too big and a bit hard and lumpy. In addition, it was easy to hear noises from adjoining rooms. But I haven’t stayed in a motel for many years, so may have had unrealistic expectations :-).

We stayed one night on our way north to Monterey from San Diego and can say that, for the price, this is an excellent place to stay. The rooms are not large but the bathroom and shower were spacious and excellent. The breakfast included was quite adequate. The area around the motel is safe and beautifully maintained.

Wow. We love this place. Very clean and all the amenities that you need is there. Perfect specially if you spend your summer weekend here. And Love the small kitchen. The staff are super friendly. Breakfast is good. 5 star for me.
