"outstanding"
The best hotel we have ever stayed at. The views are amazing and the hotel is something out of a good movie. The staff were terrific. We went on a guided one hour torch nature walk that the hotel puts on Friday night. It is truly one of the most beautiful places in the world.

"fabulous hotel. pool and steam rooms unique. "
this place is amazing. a strenuous walk up from the town centre is health! the effort required for the hill climb is paid off in spades by the view. we had a corner room on the top floor of the new section facing the town and ski area. the restaurant is good and the service excellent. I would love to come back to ski in February if I could afford it! many world class Olympian skiers have come from Kitzbuhel.

"Nice, clean super hotel"
They are incorrect with deposit. At the beginning the receptionist stated the wouldn't charge anything, because hotel (staying) already paid.We arrived at 22:00 and the hotel immediately charged 300 EUR to the arriving day!!!! What for?!?!?! I paid in advance the hotel but they charged 300 EUR per day to mewithout any reason... No I'm running after my money... I'm already complained, but they didn't react...

"Great family hotel"
Stayed at the Hotel Sallerhof the first weekend in July. The location is the small town of Grodig just outside of Salzburg and it is a beautiful little town. The front desk attendant was very kind and helpful, offering suggestions for restaurants nearby and giving us maps of the town and sites to see in Salzburg. Our room was roomy and comfortable. We were able to leave the door to the deck open, which kept the room a nice temperature. Everything was clean and neat. The hotel was quiet, although we could see guests coming and going outside our window. Breakfast was included with our stay. It was filling without being too heavy and included lots of fresh fruit, tomatoes, yogurt, breads/rolls and sliced meats. I enjoyed the variety. Overall, our stay there was wonderful and I highly recommend it. We would definitely stay there again.

"Friendly staff, good food."
A pleasant hotel, lovely friendly staff and loved the buffet breakfast. Probably wouldn't recommend the evening buffet though, a little over-priced at €29. The rollaway bed for our daughter made the room feel quite cramped and a couple of nights were uncomfortably hot, even with the balcony door and window open, as there was no air conditioning. Both my daughter and myself cut our feet on shards of glass on the carpet, which was a bit of a shock I have to say! Beds were really comfortable and staff super helpful wherever possible, always with a smile. I must say though, that it was a great disappointment that the pool was out of action for the entire length of our eight day stay. This was perhaps the main reason for booking this particular hotel and so not to have the use of it was not good. The hotel receptionists were extremely apologetic did try and make amends by paying for our trip to the local baths/spa, but this took a day out of exploring the area, as we wanted to spend just half an hour or so at the end of each day enjoying a dip in the hotel's own pool. All in all, a good stay, but with some disappointments.

You’re not the average traveler — and we know it

You’ve done your homework and know exactly where you want to go. We’re here to help with some Hotwire travel geek-approved tips on how to save on your booking.

    Get away for the weekend

Hotels in bigger cities usually charge higher rates during the week, when people are traveling for business. Weekends can be a bargain! It’s the other way around for vacation spots, so if you’re looking for a beach escape, consider a mid-week trip.

    Give yourself some wiggle room

If your plans are flexible, play around with some different travel dates – a shift of a few days either way can help you save big. Prices usually jump the weekends before and after popular holidays, so we recommend steering clear of them. Or consider visiting during the off-season, when prices are generally lower.

    Plan around big events

Are prices surprisingly high? There might be a huge conference or festival in town. Consider shifting your dates if you can. Of course, if that’s why you’re going, you’ll have to bite the bullet. We’ll still work to get you the best rates out there.

    Noodle over new adventures

Set aside time to plan what you want to see, taste and discover. Nothing completes a trip, big or small, like a few new experiences! Check city apps or area websites to find out what’s new and what events are happening during your stay. Even during a family reunion, you can detour to that locals-only fish taco stand or under-the-radar music club. Your cousins will be impressed.
