Good hotel near Hearst Castle

This hotel is fantastic if you are wanting to stay close to Hearst Castle. It is only about a 7-10 minute drive and is also near the Elephant Seal lookout. The room was overall good, the only things we didn’t like is that the bathroom mirror light was broken, so they had a lamp in its place, and the AC didn’t work. The bed was very comfortable though which we loved. The breakfast was also good with various options to choose from. Overall, we found this place to be a good location and fit our needs for this trip!

The Internet reception was terrible, but the property was very close to Hearst Castle! When I stayed the night, I was planning on doing many things if I had to do over again I would stay in Paso Robles because I felt that I was constantly driving there for the things that I wanted to do. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good.

The building was old but the hallway.Inside the hotel was very dirty.There was trash outside of the front door of our room , the blinds in our room wetter broken and covered in blue tape but they didn't stay closed. We had no coffee maker in our room but there was sod too make coffee or tea. The ice machine was dirty, rusty and water leaking on the floor.

Great price for our 1-night stay. The room had no view, but we were expecting that to be the case. Quick packaged warm breakfast that was unremarkable, but again not surprising. The beds were fine.

Bad-shower spout needed replaced. Diverter worn out causing low water pressure. Bathroom door needed WD40. Poor selection and quality of food at breakfast (part of rate). Good-Staff provided another room without hesitation when the door lock malfunctioned at our room. Cleaning staff answered questions about the neighborhood. Provided extra towels when asked.

I hate to disparage an establishment, but this comfort Inn did not come near expectations. The bed was clean & comfortable. The heater had to be unplugged as it ran continually. The bathroom mirror light was broken, so an old lamp was placed by the sink to provide poor lighting. The breakfast was minimal. Can we offer more fruit than just apples? How about some bagels, too?

No hook on the back of the bathroom door, to hang clothes or a towel to reuse. Bathroom very small. Only 2 towels the first night. No elevator. No tissue. Shower head too short. No soap dish in shower. Breakfast was cold.

I’m currently in a wheelchair so I called the front desk to ask for a room on the first floor because they don’t have elevators. The property manager Raj was extra rude and hung up on me. The walls are extremely thin, the ceiling was leaking so much water it even caved in the next morning. The breakfast was not restocked and it was 8:30am (breakfast is over at 10am). The floors throughout the whole building were so dirty and hair everywhere.
