Our stay at Gaia Hotel & Reserve was wonderful, but what truly made it exceptional was the outstanding level of service. From the moment we arrived, we were incredibly impressed by the warmth, professionalism, and genuine attentiveness of the entire staff. You can tell that providing exceptional service is part of the culture of this hotel. Everyone made us feel welcomed, cared for, and completely at ease throughout our stay. A few people especially stood out: Chris at the front desk and concierge was fantastic—always attentive, knowledgeable, and ready to help. Oscar was wonderful from the moment we arrived, helping with our luggage and transporting us around the property with such kindness and a great attitude. The restaurant staff was equally impressive, especially Abraham and Jack, along with the rest of the team, who were consistently warm, helpful, and attentive. The property itself is beautiful, but for us, the people were the true highlight. Exceptional hospitality and a level of service that we will absolutely remember. Thank you to the entire Gaia team for making our stay in Manuel Antonio so special!

If you want ultimate rainforest luxury and top level service you should stay here. Not to be missed. Raft in and out via the Pacuare river and be completely enveloped by the forest and river in the middle of nowhere while having high level meals breakfast, lunch and dinner, incredible adventure programs like zip lining through the canopy and repelling down little waterfall. Seriously. 1000% The food was top tier. The service was thoughtful and personal. The staff is amazing. And they have great wifi. In the middle of nowhere. Deep jungle. The rafting is world class. I had a Linda vista villa and it was an absurd amount of space and privacy with a personal plunge pool. Come back from dinner and your lights are on, fan going and curtains drawn. Seriously, stay here. I'm coming back again someday.

Construction work was going on , we were not notified, only one restaurant open, and only one bar as well. Limited choices of food. Room service charged $25, which is high considering no choice of restaurants. Taxi to town was $40. It was mentioned that this is an adult only resort. In low season we saw many families. Avoid in low season. Not worth the price tag. Found lots of other similar priorities in the area with cheaper price tag.

Staff were great. We booked the plunge pool suite which unfortunately did not have any desk so we had to downgrade to a junior suite. The plunge pool was quite cold and dirty though anyways so we wouldn't have used it. Location is nice. The pool is small like a 1-2 person max with 2 loungers. Hotel overall is clean and it's a steep walk to town but a taxi is around 2500 CRC. They did provide a dining credit for the 2 meals I had with my wife at the restaurant, which is fair since it was my fault for booking the plunge pool room without confirming it had a desk. Restaurant is really nice, a bit pricey but quality wholesome food. We don't drink so we avoid all inclusives.

10000/10 Javier was a wonderful host, would highly recommend. He was very accommodating, very helpful with local suggestions. We had issues finding the location, he even went to go find us. Absolutely wonderful experience. The dome was one of the coolest experiences we’ve had yet.
