After booking, you are informed of the additional cost of pool beds. Which I have never experienced before, we booked the hotel as it had a pool, otherwise would have used the extra for a hotel by the beach, which we ended up doing anyway. Walls are paper thin. Public transport is okay but not great. Lots of dust under bed, and on vent above bedroom door. Overall, it does not compare to any other 4 star hotels I have experienced. And is of a worse standard than some 3 star hotels I have stayed in.

We stayed in a deluxe suite- 2 levels and THE largest 2 bathrooms we have ever seen in our European travels. We were able to check in early after a long hot walk from the train station which was greatly appreciated. Front desk staff was super helpful with many tips on places to visit, eat, and drink. Plus they were always there to help ( couldn’t unlock our door). Main part of our room was upstairs with a comfortable bed, huge bathroom and a long shelf like table overlooking the downstairs. Lots of amenities in the bathrooms. Small fridge stocked with a few beverages. Shag carpet going up the stairs. Breakfast buffet was very good with lots of options.

Hotel location provides convenient access to public transportation such as bus and Bologna Central Station. It makes traveling and visiting other neighboring cities convenient. The room is spacious and clean. Staffs are friendly, kind and helpful. Most importantly, they are proficient in English which makes ease of communication for foreign travelers. Customer service is great and they go beyond to making breakfast box for guests who need to travel early outside of breakfast operation hours. Overall, the hotel is a good choice for travelers who need to visit other cities and based on Bologna.
