The price was different than my Expedia reservations. The room I booked was different than the room we were given due to our pet. Although it said pet friendly, the room I booked apparently was not. If I wanted an ocean view my pet fee would be $75 nightly, as opposed to $40 parking lot view. The second night of our stay had a huge price hike compared to the first night. The room served our purpose but I was disappointed by the extra fees and pet fee increase for looking at the ocean. We went for business and it was over $1000 for two nights. The restaurant was closed for renovation. The staff was kind and friendly but I was not happy about the hidden fees. I would definitely call and ask all of those questions if you’re considering a stay. We were also charged to park in front of our room.

Pet rooms are filthy, dark, and smells like a car wash. ( heavy chemicals ) They charge a $40 pet fee and parking fee top it off. Pool and spa need to be updated. Regret not spending a little more for the cliffs.

Be ready to pay for everything. Surprised to have to pay to watch PBS channels. Complimentary wifi was not good but enhanced cst $15 a day. Good channels cost $16.

Wowza. Holy Scenery Batman!

What a way to wake up! A gorgeous view, a calm and serene atmosphere, and just an amazing start to every day. Comfy bed, great amenities, close to everything. Quiet. Just wow. I travel a lot and this was by far my favorite place yet. And I’m picky.

Comfortable clean room with great views

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Outside was landscaped very nice with great fire pit areas and awesome views. Staff was very nice and helpful. Close to everything.

The grounds are beautiful. The view and sound of the waves crashing are amazing. The room was quiet. The bed was very comfortable. Upgrade to a beach view room with a balcony. You won’t regret it! Purchase the s’mores kit at the check in desk to enjoy around one of the three fire pits. We met a wonderful family from Switzerland. And get up early to enjoy the beauty of the ocean alone. (But being a blanket or towel because the chairs may be damp from overnight fog.)

The room looked a bit shabby. There wasn't enough lighting and the room was too dim. We couldn't open the curtain, because that window was overlooking the parking lot area. Everything in the room looked old and outdated. Overall, the experience was okay, but I don't think I would stay at the spyglass inn again.
