I felt as though I was in another time in place the 20s the 30s and the 40s the writers of that time I could feel their spirit through the walls the time they may have stayed there what they wrote about the city lights it’s a different place now around the property, but not within the walls the Pickwick is a wonderful historical landmark stay

Stayed at The Pickwick while attending a work function at the Marriott Marquis. It was within walking distanace and provided everthing I needed, a safe building and a comfortable bed!

Good, but don’t forget earplugs

The property is older in a charming way. Very convenient for my purposes. But with that convenience comes a bit more noise that the double glazing can’t stop. Bring some well fitting earplugs.

I stayed here 10+ years ago and it looks like they haven’t done anything to it to maintain. Some broken fixtures and major wear and tear. The fabric chairs in the lobby are so incredibly dirty and worn out. The rooms have chipped paint and stains on the ceilings. The cleaners aren’t cleaning the mugs and only wiping them out, the counters in the room were sticky. I bought some Clorox wipes and cleaned the room and bathroom after they came in and cleaned it. It has little to do with the staff and everything to do with the owners. They will need to step it up or they are going to loose major business. I won’t be back unless they solve the problems. With that said, the building is cool, it is a boutique hotel and it is charming. So with the deferred maintenance resolved and some staff training, this place could be great again, like it was.
