We liked the location and found it quite quiet. We had a hot day where we were able to use the pool, but it is very windy. The hotel is a bit rundown but clean. Looks like they’re in the middle of a facelift

Soma House is a good hotel, with a lovely pool. Too bad there is no direct view outside. To turn off the bedside lamp, you have to get out of bed. In the area many homeless and drug addicts, there is 24/7 security at the door. Breakfast was fine. Room was clean.

Loved the pool and all the amenities! Room was a little smaller than I thought it would be but it was still good! Really clean! Just disappointed it didn’t have a microwave or fridge but once again, all good. The continental breakfast was a little underwhelming too. I would come back though because it was affordable for what it included!

staff at front desk & security very nice. our room had damages to new sink & black scuff marks on wall. we did get white paint mark on a black back pack when we set on bedroom table not sure when room was recently painted. A lot of construction work. Remodeling. Very cute design. Nice breakfast but not enough.

negatives-The property is located in an area with many homeless meaning there could be yelling as well as needles and people passed out on multiple corners. I was not aware and should’ve looked further into the location. -Renovations all over. Paper covering the hallways outside the doors so always loud and crinkly, with construction noise. beginning by 8 AM. multiple boarded up windows and doors. -Mandatory valet parking, which did not exactly seem necessary. -Rooms do not have air conditioning and no fridge made for a very warm stay even in May Positive -the staff were very friendly, the rooms were spacious. we had four people and had plenty of room -Coffee with pastries available in the lobby in the morning. -heated pool, which had a nice atmosphere and temperature The renovated part is nice and that is why I would give it an average but much work to be needed and I would not stay here otherwise

The pictures online are deceptive! Hotel is located in the Tenderloin District which is the worst part of SF. The hotel is under construction and the rooms are terrible.
