My stay would have been better had they told us upfront that they have over committed for the room we were booked for, and asked if they could downgrade our room but make up for it. Instead they waited till we were already in our room to tell us they have no other rooms for us to be. I still was upset because we never wanted the breakfast. They gave a 60$ discount to the weekend but the view was the entire reason we picked this hotel and with us getting the view of their air conditioning system with loud noise and smelled like dirty water, just felt even more of a disappointment. We picked a view of the water because we knew we would be arriving within an hour of the fireworks and if the room was a good enough we’d be able to stay in. Also had to go back to the hotel because they never actually gave back the 60$ we had to tell them. My stay would have been much better if they had informed us upfront that they had overbooked the room we had reserved. They could have offered to downgrade our room and compensate us for the inconvenience. Instead, they waited until we were already in our room to inform us that they had no other available rooms. I was still upset because we had never intended to have breakfast. They did offer a 60-dollar discount for the weekend, but the view was the primary reason we chose this hotel. With the view of their air conditioning system, which was noisy and smelled like dirty water, it felt even more of a slap in the face.

Great location for our needs. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The room was clean with a great view of the bay and the baseball field. It was nice to be able to walk to several good restaurants.
