This hotel is a cool and exotic place to stay for one night, chill by the pool, or to just go out with friends on the weekend. Beginners Diner was great, their cherry pie was exceptionally good!
We arrived late on a Friday to check in and the whole place was packed and vibing, but it made the check-in experience feel chaotic after a day of travel. I could barely hear the front desk agent due to the amount of people in the lobby. We had to walk through the crowds of people with our bulky suitcases which was challenging. When we arrived to the room it was clean and welcoming. They had nice shampoo / conditioner, the bedding was soft and the bed was comfortable. I had high hopes for our stay.
The cleaning crew did not come by our room once during our 4night stay, I had to continuously request fresh towels & I requested a change in bed sheets which was denied even after the 3rd night. On our last day, I had to ask for someone to come remove trash and empty cocktail glasses from the room which were there since day 1. When housekeeping showed up, she just handed me towels and left. Our shower toiletries were empty, and we had three days worth of trash and dirty towels that needed to go. I’m a laid back person, but to me this service was unacceptable. We won’t be back, and I don’t recommend staying for more than one night. We flew from NY to stay here for 4 nights and enjoy SD, but we have never experienced a lack of cleanliness like this at a hotel before !
